I have looked over squarespace with another client - and several others but the number of great plug-ins and acceptance across the industry plus how effective their SEO is out of the gate and with the additional tools, I still prefer Wordpress.

However, more important than either, for the person putting up a site, are you putting relevant, meaningful content and providing a reason for people to come back. Coming soon: Mailing List.</description>
