I don't really see how to accomplish this. At least, not with Google calendar. If I were doing the same thing I might just create a Google spreadsheet and put those calendar items in there.

Thanks. I understand that part. However I would like to keep potential meeting seperate than ordinary tasks. Unless I need to treat tasks and meeting in an equal way?

You can't put items on a calendar without a date.. you can put them as tasks without a date, however...

I don't know if you can move multiple tasks or calendar items at 1 time.. will look into it.

Thanks very much for this info. A couple question I have are:
A. Scenario: I need to book a few meetings. Didnt decide when yet. Can I put them in Calendar somewhere with no specific date and time, and at a later date, come back to it and set the specific time and date. I do want these seperated from the tasks.
B. Can I move a few meetings or tasks to another date and time, all at once? (Like drag two items at once?

Brent,

Thanks for visiting and offering your input.. it is a valuable perspective. My take, with the HUGE majority of acts, is that until you are drawing numbers there are many more outlets than the "standard" pay-to-play "opportunities" in Los Angeles and elsewhere.

Again, I am glad you offered a different perspective however and welcome you to return anytime.

Many artists are so desperate to play a venue (ala the famous ones on the strip) they will do whatever it takes. As written in the blog, they will do one and may be successful. But then their family, friends and fans have either negative experiences with parking, being treated like cattle, whatever, all in the pursuit of playing a venue with long past lore. Doing it again, they will most likely be unsuccessful (tickets/money-wise) More artists should play venues that offer nice amenities, a good "vibe", seating, food, good parking, etc. By doing this, they'll have a much more positive reaction from fans and have repeat (if not increased) following. I do two showcases each month. One at the Mint and one at the Renaissance Hollywood hotel. The Mint I request a 25 minimum draw (key word is "request") because I must pay rent on the venue. I rely on honesty and professionalism regarding draws. If an artist is honest with me and doesn't feel they can draw 25, I try and put them in a position that's better suited for them. At the Renaissance, we have no minimum draw, although I request artists promote and have support attend. It's free, all ages, etc. However, this showcase DOES have a pay-to-play aspect...we select three artists from the showcase to be placed in a paid gig the following month. Yep, indie artists are actually PAID to play a high-profile venue and not required to sell tickets or have a minimum draw. This is a radical concept to LA/Hollywood, but you know what? It's one of the most successful on-going events in town. Go figure. Ok, I'll step off my soapbox now...

You shouldn't need one, particularly if your primary calendar is there. Go into the calendar settings on your phone and see if the other calendars are listed but not set to be displayed or to synchronize.
